On Monday 20 April 2015 the Clean Energy Regulator STC Clearing House went into deficit to meet market demand, indicating a balancing of the market.
Householders and businesses who had STCs queued in the Clearing House have now sold and have received payment for their certificates.
Market demand shows that the forecasting of the Small-scale technology percentage was an accurate indication of the number of certificates required for purchase by liable entities in 2015. The Small-scale technology percentage was set at 20.567 million for 2015.
The Clean Energy Regulator has begun issuing Regulator–created Small-scale technology certificates, and will continue to supply certificates to meet the purchase requests within the STC Clearing House.
Householders and businesses that have STCs are able to sell their certificates in the Clearing House.
