The Stiebel Eltron Heat Pump is proven superior German technology and is the most efficient domestic heat pump on the market.
The heat pump absorbs the heat from the ambient air, which is then transferred to the refrigerant within the heat pump. The refrigerant is compressed, which heats it to a high temperature. It is this heat that is transferred into the water to provide hot water. It works on similar principles as an air-conditioner but in reverse. 68% less electricity is required to provide hot water compared to a standard electric system. Warranty Information
The Stiebel Eltron Heat Pump has a five year warranty on the tank, two years on the compressor and one year on the electrics.
The unit has a design life of fifteen years. This can vary depending on factors such as extremes in weather, water quality and how often you replace the sacrificial anode. We recommend replacing the anode every 3-5 years for continued protection, depending on the water quality in your area.
